1) In brief tell us about your latest products.

We recently introduced a new line of multicolor maps.

So far we only have nine multicolor maps on Etsy, but are working at creating more and getting them online.

2) What is the inspiration behind these items?

We decided to make these multicolor maps because we wanted something more colorful and playful that no one else offers and that have a purpose. The different colors represent neighbourhoods and district in .

3) What other new items are in the plans for the near future?

We are always working on new ideas and expanding our product selection. Currently, we are working on creating completely new lines of products that we don't already have and fulfilling requests for maps of places we don't yet offer.

4) Will you be participating in any up-coming exhibition or markets?

Stephen is jampacked with solo exhibitions for his artwork this summer, which means a lot of travelling and creating, which is awesome, but doesn't leave much time to participate in markets for the spring and summer season. I am hoping to squeeze in the Etsy Made in Canada event this September, last year's event was amazing. We also purchased a storefront this year which we are working on renovating and hope to open at the end of this year or next year.

My name is Louise and I am the maker behind Etsy's VintageMagpieNest.

I have been crafting for as long as I can remember! From digging up clay in the garden and creating miniature bird nests with eggs at age five to creating my nature inspired jewelry that you'll find in my shop today. I love antiques and nature so am fortunate to be able to combine my love of both through my jewelry.

My vintage medals have been given a new purpose in life, usually in the form of wearable one of a kind necklaces or brooches. I not only love designing my vintage pieces, but finding each one is such a thrill.

Hi! I'm TJ, aka RockaBeauty Mama, the owner and creator of RockaBeautyBoutique. In my Etsy shop I sell handcrafted retro inspired, and alternative style accessories that come in a variety of shapes, and sizes. From handmade retro headbands, to Lolita style wrist cuffs, RockaBeauty Boutique has you covered for your alternative accessory needs! 

My main inspiration for my products came from my personal love affair with alternative and retro fashion... The first hair bow I ever made was actually for my DIY Rockabilly/Tim Burton inspired wedding back in 2012! I don't think my shop would have come to be if it weren't for the amazing man I married that day... I know it's cheesy... but it's true!

My first year on Etsy I spent a lot of my time getting used to how everything worked. Now that I have become comfortable with the day to day tasks of running my shop I am happy to find more time for creating! My plan this year is to grow the shop to offer a larger variety of products. My goal is to have over 100+ products available by the end of 2015!

Ever since I began my path towards designing my own handmade accessory line, I have been dreaming of one day opening up my own B&M store. Right now my shop is still just a baby, and I can't wait to see what she grows up to be!

Hi, I'm Amanda from Manda's Mittens. I learned how to knit when I was 4 and haven't ever stopped. I knit mittens for a local shop while in university, but gave up the wholesale work for a "real job" after graduating. I'm a mom of 3 great kids and a wife to a great and busy guy. If I'm not knitting I'm chasing the kids or out running - I'm doing the Toronto Marathon in October to celebrate my 40th birthday.

What brought you to Etsy?
I knit many hats and mittens for my kids (now 7, 5 & 2). I was asked often by other parents at daycare and while out where I had purchased them :) I hadn't found a good way to show people what types of different products I could do without carrying around a ton of photos. Etsy is the perfect site for me to do that and gives me so much exposure. 

What is your favorite item from your shop?
My "signature mitten" is the dark grey with natural thrums and natural stripe. It was the first mitten I listed on etsy and the first to sell.

What has been your best experience on Etsy?
Being part of the etsy community is a wonderful experience for an at home parent. Two exciting projects popped up this spring as a result of the shop - the first was being asked to make mittens for a photo shoot in frankie magazine (an Australian fashion magazine) and the second was being asked by a bride to be to make matching mittens for her bridal party and flower girl.

Hi! I’m Tori Wood, better known on Etsy as SewCrazyLiving! I am a friend, fiancé, traveler, creator, & new Etsy shop owner! About a year and half ago I moved to Louisiana from upstate NY with my Military Man. I am now crafting & re-purposing our house into a home one project at a time. Crafting has always been a part of my life, a cherished passion passed down from my grandmother & mother.

What brought you to Etsy?
I heard about Etsy from a friend in college and have since made several purchases and explored many different sellers. In the past year and a half I have made over a dozen custom order blankets and pillowcases and continue to get orders today. Because I have had such a great response to these, I really wanted to expand the market and offer the product to others as well. So I decided to open an Etsy shop! I am new to Etsy, and I am really looking forward to working with & meeting new people!

What is your favorite Item from your shop?
Although the blankets were my first seller outside of Etsy, I am currently loving the Chevron Letter. I recently created one as a wedding present and the Bride & Groom to-be absolutely loved it. I received so many compliments and questions about it that I thought it would make a wonderful listing here on Etsy. (Take my word for it though, the fleece blankets are the most cuddly, cozy blankets ever!)

Do you have any big plans for your shop?
I think my biggest goal here would be to start getting a steady stream of orders and eventually sell wholesale to a physical shop or boutique. I plan to expand and add more listings, including remodeled and redesigned décor. I would really love to do something this creative and inspiring, full time!

My name is Natalie, and I am an artist currently residing in the Bitterroot Valley, MT. Do you have any big plans for your shop?
Currently I'm planning on using my shop to make money while I'm on the road! I just moved in to my 18' "Gypsy Wagon" 1981, Itasca motorhome (which is where I do all my work) and am on my way to Santa Cruz end of August to spend time with my Grandmother! Hopefully she and I can make some pieces together. :)

My mom actually brought me to Etsy because she had opened her own store 7 years ago. I was feeling frustrated that my art wasn't making the progress I wanted, so she inspired me to start my own Etsy shop and sell! =)

What inspires you?

I guess I already addressed this in my intro =P Human beings inspire me, with all our complexity, creativity, faults, transformations. The human condition is a fascinating subject.

Do you have any big plans for your shop?

My big plans for my shop: to one day open up a store front. I want my shop overall to be a metaphysical supply shop, where I can sell crystals, herbal mixes, artwork, jewelry and the like!!

We designed and made Forkeepz portfolios for ourselves because we were looking for a stylish solution to enjoy and share our children's creations. Stuffing our kids papers into plastic bins just wasn't working for us. We had friends and relatives with Etsy shops and decided to share our solution with others.

What is your favorite item from your shop?
We love the size of our 13" x 19" portfolio, for storing large construction paper, and are particularly sentimental about bigger, multi-media works. Personalized portfolios help us to organize our children's art, and storing the work in this manner offers the opportunity to look back on our child's physical and mental development; invoking wonderful memories. Showcase design has been our most popular seller because it's bold and has a youthful appeal.

Do you have any big plans for your shop?
Forkeepz are constantly trying to improve our photographic impact. Our Portfolios are translucent with slightly bumpy surfaces, making them difficult to photograph. We hope to improve the quality of image so our customers really understand the elegance of the portfolios, while capturing the color of the personalized labels. Our products make unique and personal gifts for grandparents and teachers. We are working on more designs.

HannaMari Creates - Handmade Statement Creations

We are two sisters that decided to express our African culture in accessories and home decor. The idea started out as we were making gifts for friends that were coming from all over the world to attend a huge convention in New jersey. It was amazing. we loved doing it and loved that the friends appreciated it so much. We then decided to start out just selling bracelets online via Etsy to see how it would go. Came up with a lot of names and just realized that this work is ours, we should include our names... That is when HannaMari Creates came about (June 30, 2014). 

What brought you to Etsy?

We love Etsy because it is a platform for us to express our creativity and give us the opportunity to share it with others. We get so excited when we see someone favorting our shop because it helps us know that we are doign something right that catches attention!

What inspires you? 

Abstract art inspires us and to use the prints of our fabric to create things for everyday use is exciting to us. We talk all the time about things that people can use or wear to show off their creative side as well. It really is a fun thing for us. We cruise Etsy to see who can inspire us the most and are amazed at the wonderful things that we see.

What is your favorite item from your shop? 

Our most favorite item is our Fab Candy jewelry set (hair bow clip, bangle & earrings)

Something about it catches our eye all the time! We made this for a buyer and she absolutely loved it. This gave us the confidence to try different variations of our fabric and see what interests people the most. The colors are very vibrant and captivating. Fabulous and sweet like candy :-).

What has been your best experience on Etsy?

The best experience we had was when a buyer was inquiring of a wholesale order. We felt so honored (especially since we are so new to Etsy) to have someone ask us. It means they want to share with others what we want everyone to discover. We see it as them helping us get our inspirations out there.

Do you have any big plans for your shop?

We definitely do. We hope to participate in expos in the near future. Right now, we are just enjoying the ride :-). Slowly but surely, we will get there!!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Crystal and I’m the owner and creator of Crystal's Little Shop of Handcrafted Trinkets & Things. I sell an assortment of handcrafted jewelry and accessories, as well as dream catchers. All of the items listed in my shop have been personally handmade, found, altered, and, or embellished by me. All of my creations are reflections of my personality.

I am currently a stay at home Mom to my handsome and sassy little boy Silas, who does a good job of keeping me on my toes all day. It’s in my down time, usually at night while my little guy sleeps, that I get the chance to bring my ideas to life. I’ve been creative since I was a child and have always lived by the mindset, “If you can’t find it, make it yourself!”

What inspires you?
Anything and Everything inspires me! Colour, music, media, people, nature, life……inspiration is all around us, all day long. In the end, making people feel great is what inspires me most.

What is your favorite item from your shop?
My favourite piece in the shop is the Blue and Green Crystal Wrap Bracelet that I created. I’m a big fan of rustic pieces and am obsessed with anything in turquoise or aqua blue. It reminds me of summer days on the water. Nostalgia, now that’s the Pisces in me shining through. ;)

Do you have any big plans for your shop?

I would absolutely love to have a table at a Christmas Craft Fair. It’s my favourite time of year, and would be a great excuse to create some amazing ornaments! The magic of the season always inspires me with tons of festive ideas. If I started listing them all, we’d be here for years!

Saraphir - Crochet and greeting cards - Handmade in Scotland

I am Saraphir and I recently opened a shop on Etsy called Saraphir. I am Danish, but have lived in the UK for many years. I currently live 1/2 hour South of Edinburgh, in the middle of fields and hills with lots of sheep. My shop sells crochet items that have been designed and made by me and greeting cards made with my own photographs. I try as much as possible to use materials that are environmentally friendly, such as recycled card, organic cotton and local wool, but combined with needing the right colours, thickness and price this is not always easy - I try my best!

What brought me to Etsy? 

When I first decided to start selling my crochet I hadn't really thought of selling online, but quickly became aware from speaking to other makers that it is an essential supplement to markets, bricks and mortar shops etc. I looked at several sites, but Etsy was the one that stood out as being well designed, popular and easy to use.

My best experience on Etsy?

I love browsing through other shops and have found many great makers and artists - there are so many beautiful things out there and so many creative people - it is very inspiring! There is a great sense of online community and sellers helping each other through the teams and treasuries, but also potential for real - world community: I was also contacted by an Etsy user in Edinburgh who invited me to a crochet/coffee club which is a great way of meeting new people interested in crafts. There are so many ways of being active on Etsy, which I really enjoy.

Do you have any big plans for your shop? 

I have got so many ideas and plans for development, it is hard to know where to start! I am looking for ways of getting my cards printed, planning to sell crochet patterns, booties in Scottish wool, new ideas to develop for autumn and winter.... and many more. I have just started, so I wonder where my shop will be in 12 months time!

JBtenFour - Fun & Fierce Upcycled Items

Hello! My name is Jamie and for as long as I can remember, I've been drawn to any and all things creative! I have always been a "think outside of the box" person. (My grandmother says it's because I'm a lefty and a Libra, which is supposed to be the 'most creative sign'!) I have found that it's best not to fight nature! :-)

My real craft started in 2005. I was 21 and was doing promotional modeling for Mt. Dew. My job was to give samples to people and talk up the product! There were these bright green soda tabs (and back then, the energy drink craze was just getting started!) and I just KNEW I could make something with them! I brought them home and decided to make earrings! I made some for the other models that evening and I presented them with my creations and they were an INSTANT success! I've been making them ever since, tweaking the design to what it is today! 

What brought you to Etsy?
I came to Etsy because I was CONSTANTLY being told that I need to open a shop online. I wait tables and always wear my accessories at work, and it was always a converstation starter! So, I got my page together, made business cards and the rest is history! I've been open since April. I must admit, opening a shop online intimidated me, but so far, so good! :-)

What inspires you?
My grandma was my first inspiration because she was so ecentric, fabulous, and always had me help her do some type of craft! My work is mainly from unconventional materials, and that idea really took off from watching "Project Runway". They make garments from recyclables and it challenges me to think in a different way! I love the idea of eco friendly accessories, but it's difficult to make it look fashionable, so that is my goal when I make an accessory! I am also one of the biggest Gwen Stefani fans you'll ever meet and her style over the years has been a huge inspiration to me! 

Do you have any big plans for your shop?
I suppose my big plans for my shop is to be able to sell items on a consistant basis so this could be my 'day job'. This is what I love to do and if it could be my main source of income, then I would be absolutely thrilled! I also LOVE the idea of people from all over wearing my accessories! It makes me truly happy to see a girl rock my work!
