The Firewriter - Wood Burned Original Art Pyrography & Painting Wildlife

Hello. I am Jake, aka The Firewriter. I am a wood burning artist, also called a pyrography artist. I use a small heated pyrography pen to burn images onto different wood media. I love taking a piece of blank wood, even reclaimed wood that I save from going to the local landfill, and turning it into a beautiful piece of wall art. I enjoy the outdoors which inspires most of my artwork. I think that wildlife is the perfect subject matter for wood burned art.

What brought you to etsy?

I love creating my wood burned art, but due to where I live I have limited places I am able to sell it. Etsy provides me with a great way to not only reach a huge number of potential customers, but it provides me with a place to connect with other pyrography artists and a variety of crafters as well.

What inspires you?

Nature and wildlife are my main inspirations. God has created so many beautiful animals, flowers, plants, and insects. I just love admiring them all and creating artwork that gives people an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of these animals as well.

Do you have any big plans for your shop?

Right now I am working endlessly on new pieces of art. I hope to eventually have at least 100 or more items in my shop to give people a large variety of pieces to choose from. I'm also working on different methods of wood burning and hope to offer artwork made using unique and less conventional techniques of wood burning.
